This model seamlessly blends classic design elements with cutting-edge technology, offering a timepiece that is both elegant and robust.
The 40mm Oyster case crafted from Oystersteel, paired with an 18k White Gold fluted bezel—a signature Rolex design element. The intense white dial showcases a unique honeycomb motif, achieved through advanced femtosecond laser technology, adding depth and texture.
He is adorned with Chromalight display, providing long-lasting blue luminescence for optimal legibility in low-light conditions. Distinctive open luminescence numerals at 6 and 9 o’clock, along with luminescence index hour markers and specially designed luminescence hands, contribute to the watch’s modern aesthetic and are closed by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
The traditionally positioned date indicator at 3 o’clock with Cyclops lens and the classic minute track surrounding the dial enhance functionality.
Crafted for reliability in any environment, the watch features a robust screw-down crown equipped with Rolex’s Twinlock double waterproofness system. This ingenious construction combines two sealed zones—one inside the crown tube and one inside the crown itself—ensuring airtight protection against water infiltration.
At the heart of the Land-Dweller 40 lies the newly developed Rolex Calibre 7135, containing 39 jewels. This self-winding mechanical movement operates at a high frequency of 5Hz (36,000 beats per hour) and boasts a power reserve of approximately 66 hours.
The movement features the innovative Dynapulse escapement, constructed from silicon, enhancing efficiency and resistance to magnetic fields. Visible through a transparent sapphire case back—a first for Rolex—the movement also includes a Syloxi hairspring, ceramic balance staff, and Paraflex shock absorbers, ensuring precision and durability.
The watch is fitted with a newly designed integrated Flat Jubilee bracelet, comprising five-piece solid links in Oystersteel. The bracelet features polished center links and satin-finished outer links with polished edges, providing both comfort and a refined appearance. A concealed folding Crownclasp ensures a seamless look and secure fit.
Whether in daily wear or conditions that are more demanding, the Twinlock system delivers exceptional resistance and durability, preserving the integrity of the timepiece to a depth of up to 100m / 330ft (10 ATM).
